In a celebration of gymnastics, this year’s Australian Gymnastics Championships promises to be bigger and better than ever, featuring 1,400 athletes competing over 6,000 routines across 12 days of competition. Additionally, for the fourth year in a row the event will be held at Melbourne’s Hisense Arena, running from May 22 to June 4.

Not only will the 2017 Australian Champions be named across five Gymsports in the heart of Melbourne’s sporting precinct, but this year’s event will also serve as preparation for the 2017 World Championships and the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The NT athletes are gearing up for their final training session and practise competition this weekend, 10am, Sunday May 14 at Darwin Gymnastics Club, 10 Abala Road Marrara. This event is open to the public and media. The team will also be presented with their team uniforms on the day, proudly sponsored by the Bendigo Bank, Darwin branch.
